ABOUT TENACITY FILMS
Tenacity Films, founded by Matthew Marshall, provides freelance videography, editing and producing services. Services are provided for narrative, documentary, corporate and event productions. Tenacity Films possess a full array of broadcast quality equipment including, camera, audio, lighting, grip/electric gear as well as full editing capabilities. Clients include Citigroup, The Smithsonian Institution, The United States Navy, The American Heart Association, The American Lung Association, The Foundation Center and others. Tenacity Films is a registered government contract vendor.
ABOUT MATTHEW MARSHALL
NARRATIVE FILM
In narrative film, Matthew directed and wrote three short films Passage, Lost Dog and Four Steps, which each received the prestigious Academy Award ® nomination in the student film category. His films have been finalists at the Hampton Film Festival, the Avignon Film Festival and the International Student Film Festival in Czechoslovakia. Other honors include being the recipient of the
Martin Scorsesse, Warner Brothers and Lew Wasserman awards.
DOCUMENTARY
Matthew has worked in a freelance capacity for the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of the American Indian for five years. In this rolehe produced, shot and edited a variety of productions including concerts, lectures, festivals and theatrical programs. Other projects involve documenting Native American communities and cultures within North America. His work has been screened at the Smithsonian Institution both in Washington, D.C and New York City.
CORPORATE VIDEO
Within corporate production, Matthew has been contracted as a videographer and editor for corporate clients such as Citigroup, The American Heart Association, The American Lung Association and The Foundation Center.
INSTRUCTOR
Matthew received his MFA in film from NYU and has over five years experience teaching Film and Video production. He has taught at Long Island University, the School of Cinema and Performing Arts, New York Film Academy and the East Harlem After School Program. Courses taught include cinematography, videography, editing, directing, writing and acting for film. In 2005, Matthew was chosen to help develop the film program at Kochi University in Japan, where he also served as instructor of editing. |
